Snoq Release Notes

Version 2026.9.2

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • •Snoq can now be driven from the keyboard. Search, create a note, rename, delete, star, open in a new tab, switch tabs, export to PDF and more all have shortcuts.
  • •A new Keyboard Shortcuts page in Settings lists every shortcut and lets you change any of them, individually or all at once.
  • •The page flags a shortcut that clashes with another action, or with the system-wide hotkeys that open Snoq or lock your notes — a clash that would otherwise leave a shortcut quietly doing nothing.

Connect an AI Assistant

  • •Settings > MCP now opens a Connect dialog instead of a bare toggle. Pick the assistant you use — the ones Snoq finds already installed are listed first — and it's connected in one click.
  • •For assistants Snoq can't safely configure automatically, the dialog gives you the exact steps and a block to paste instead.

Note Picker

  • •The note picker in the toolbar now has a search box, so you can jump straight to a note by typing part of its name.
  • •Arrow keys move the highlight without closing the list, and Enter opens whatever is highlighted.
  • •A long note name in the toolbar no longer pushes the picker or other buttons out of place, and a long category name in the rename dialog now trims with a tooltip instead of stretching the dropdown.

Polish

  • •The startup screen now shows the animated Snoq logo instead of a plain spinner.
  • •Keyboard focus reliably returns to your note after closing Settings, search, or any dialog — previously the first key you pressed could go nowhere.
  • •Escape now reliably closes dialogs throughout the app, including ones nested inside another dialog, which previously closed both at once or left the parent unresponsive afterward.

Thank you for using Snoq!
