- All note content encrypted with AES-256 before storage
- Encryption keys derived from your password using Argon2id
- No network communication required for core functionality
- All encryption/decryption happens locally on your device

Local-First Architecture
Snoq is designed as a local-first application. Your notes are stored only on your device unless you explicitly choose to export them. There is no cloud sync functionality that could potentially expose your data.
