Snoq Release Notes

Version 2026.10.1

New Installer

  • •The installer has been rebuilt. While Snoq installs, it now shows a short tour of what the app can do instead of a bare progress bar.
  • •Snoq can now be installed and kept up to date with Windows Package Manager (winget) and Chocolatey, alongside the regular download.

Toolbar

  • •The New, Rename, Delete and PDF buttons are back on the left, right next to the note they act on, instead of at the far end of the toolbar.
  • •A long note name now takes only the space that is left over, and shortens itself rather than crowding out anything else. The category shortens too, and gives way to the name first.
  • •In a narrow window the search box always stays visible: the last-modified date steps aside first, then the buttons you can also reach from the note list and shortcuts. While searching, New shows just its icon to make room.

Deleting a Note

  • •Deleting a note now asks in a proper dialog instead of a plain yes/no prompt. It shows which note is about to go — its name, category and when it was last changed — so similarly named notes are easy to tell apart.
  • •It also says plainly that deletion is permanent, and the button reads Delete rather than Yes. Enter still confirms and Escape still cancels.

The Editor in Your Language

  • •The last English labels in the note editor are now translated: the text size picker (Small, Normal, Large, Huge), the link popup (Visit URL, Edit, Remove, Save), the hint under the emoji picker, and the "plain text" option on code blocks.
  • •Everything new in this release is translated into all supported languages, and a typo in the Portuguese "Rename note" title is fixed.

Thank you for using Snoq!
